BSc in Psychology - Faculty of Arts and Humanities - Department of Design

The BSc Psychology is a four-year undergraduate degree programme designed in alignment with EQF and CyQF Level 6 descriptors, providing students with comprehensive academic knowledge, applied skills, and professional competencies in the science of psychology. The curriculum is built around core domains including biological, cognitive, developmental, social, and individual differences psychology, with opportunities for students to choose a concentration in Educational Psychology, Mental Health, or Cyberpsychology in the final stages of study.

  • The Educational Psychology concentration supports students in developing psychological insights relevant to learner diversity, inclusive educational practices, and classroom-based interventions.
  • The Mental Health concentration addresses the increasing need for psychological contributions to prevention, assessment, and therapeutic support in clinical and community contexts.
  • The Cyberpsychology concentration, unique among Psychology programmes in Cyprus, prepares students to critically evaluate the effects of digital environments, online behaviour, and human-technology interaction on mental health, identity, and social dynamics.

After the completion of this programme, graduates will be able to:

Knowledge

  1. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of core psychological theories, principles, and empirical findings, with specialised understanding in one or more areas such as educational psychology, mental health, or cyberpsychology.
  2. Explain and critically evaluate key psychological concepts, contemporary issues, and research methodologies, including ethical considerations in psychological research and practice.
