Location: American University of Cyrpus

Responsibilities:

• Teach courses in the English Foundation Program within the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics
• Develop and update course syllabi, learning materials, and assessments aligned with program objectives
• Support students in developing their academic English skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
• Provide regular feedback, academic advisement, and mentorship to students
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement, as required.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in English Language, English Literature, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching English for Academic Purposes and/or Foundation-level English
• Proven record of teaching excellence and the ability to deliver engaging and effective courses at the undergraduate/foundation level
• Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and support students from diverse backgrounds
• Commitment to student-centered learning and to contributing to the academic community
