The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the American University of Cyprus is dedicated to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of human expression and culture. We are currently seeking dynamic and experienced faculty members who are passionate about teaching, research, and contributing to the enrichment of arts and humanities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field within Arts or Humanities
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field within Graphic Design
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field within Interior Design
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field within landscape Design
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field within Psychology
  • Demonstrated expertise and research accomplishments in a specialized area within the field
  • Proven record of teaching excellence and the ability to deliver engaging and innovative courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and guide students
  • Active engagement in research, scholarly activities, and a commitment to contributing to the academic community

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities
  • Develop and update course syllabi, learning materials, and assessments
  • Engage in scholarly research and publish in reputable journals
  • Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement
  • Provide academic advisement and mentorship to students
