The Bachelor’s Degree in Law aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation necessary to meet the evolving demands of the legal profession at both national and international levels. Through continuously updated curricula, the program ensures alignment with changing career opportunities, academic advancements, and professional certification requirements. Students are introduced to the principles of academic lawyering and legal education, developing critical legal research and analytical skills essential for interpreting legislation, case law, and legal processes. Emphasis is placed on understanding the dynamic nature of law beyond mere rule memorization, fostering the ability to address complex legal issues, apply legal knowledge practically, and engage with the legal system in a socially responsible manner. Graduates will be well-prepared to pursue careers as jurists, lawyers, judges, or legal experts in various organizations, supported by a strong grounding in legal theory, institutional frameworks, and legislative practice.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this programme students should be able:

  • To familiarize the students with the rules of the academic lawyering.
  • To introduce students to higher legal education, to equip them with legal skills they will need to study law as an academic discipline and exercise.
  • To lay the foundations upon which students can rely upon to study effectively all law courses.
  • To teach the students the process of law-making, the court system coupled with the ways in which legal instruments and case law should be read and interpreted.
  • To teach the students that studying law can never be simply a matter of learning merely «rules».
  • To provide students with opportunities to develop and practise key legal research skills such as conducting legal research, presenting their research, reading and analysing primary and secondary sources, finding legal resources in the library and online, and citing materials correctly.
  • To satisfy the required criteria for securing a law degree.
  • To acquire the ability to practically apply the acquired knowledge as well as the ability to solve practical problems in their field of work.
  • To deepen, critically evaluate, deal with and effectively solve practical issues and complex legal issues and exercises related to the content of the programme through the search for primary and secondary sources as well as the thorough, conscientious study and processing of relevant judicial decisions.
  • To acquire sufficient knowledge and in-depth training regarding the current institutional framework, so that they are able to use it constructively throughout their later working life as tomorrow's jurists, Lawyers, Judges or even as experts in international or domestic organization and to propose legislative initiatives and solutions.
