The American University of Cyprus, Larnaca – AUCY had the great honor to receive Her Excellency, The Ambassador of Lebanon in Cyprus, Mrs. Claude Hajal on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.
AUCY Board presided by the Rector, Dr. Marc-Antoine Zabbal, Mr. Christos Karas, Mr. Joe Ibrahim, and Mr. Farid Haikal welcomed her Excellency and discussed all Educational and Financial matters related to the Lebanese Students moving to Cyprus.
The Ambassador thanked and supported AUCY’s initiative for providing generous scholarships and financial aid to the Lebanese students through a dedicated fund, especially during the ongoing financial crisis Lebanon is passing through.
Her Excellency met with Members of the Academic Board, Professor Marios Katsioloudis, Professor Ioannis Michaloudis, and Assistant Professor Eleftheria Atta, and the discussion was very fruitful in terms of Academic Joint ventures and Research and cultural Programs.
At the end, both parties agreed to keep their cooperation meetings open for the benefit of the Lebanese Society.
