Master of Landscape Architecture - Faculty of Arts and Humanities - Master of Landscape Architecture

The program has been designed according to guidelines for the recognition or accreditation of IFLA (International Federation of Landscape Architects) and ECLAS (European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools)

The Master in Landscape Architecture deals with studying and designing natural and artificial landscapes. The program aims to provide education, research, and training in landscape architecture in both urban and rural contexts, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and ecology. Innovation and quality in design are strongly promoted aiming to cultivate a critical awareness of the multifaceted issues concerning landscape design, which stands at the intersection of wider environmental, social, technological, and cultural concerns. Therefore, the program modules integrate knowledge and skills in a variety of fields, such as plants & ecology, urbanism & sustainability, or analog & digital design tools. Research is encouraged to acquire new knowledge, and design is approached as a method of critical experimentation that results in original insights and practices. The MLA Program also leads to formal qualifications for professionals who want to practice in the field of Landscape Architecture and Landscape Design. The

program fills an educational gap in this sensitive area.
